Getting started
One page for someone who has passed: the funeral details, contributions, tributes and their life story, on a link the family keeps up to date. Kwa-Heri is made by Zelora, a Kenyan team.
No. Start with the funeral details and keep building on the same link: the programme, photos and the life story are added as they come together.
Links you've already shared keep working and open the same page.
Yes. The page's owner invites relatives to help, each with their own role, and can remove anyone at any time.
Only the owner and the treasurer see the money.
Money
People send money by M-Pesa from the page and see it confirmed in seconds. The family can also show their own Paybill or number.
Every contribution lands on one list that the family and the treasurer can see and download.
No. A new memorial is free for its first 12 hours, with most features, and you don't give any payment details.
Choose a plan when you're ready. You pay once, by M-Pesa, and plans don't renew by themselves.
The page stays online as a remembrance page. Visitors can still read it, leave tributes and give, as the family allows.
To add photos or change the story, the family needs a new plan.
Privacy and tributes
The family chooses: everyone, anyone with the link, or only the people they invite. Each invited person gets their own link, which opens on their phone without signing in.
Only pages a family makes public appear in Find a memorial.
Yes. The family can read each tribute before it appears, and can hide or remove any tribute at any time.
A tribute with a phone number, a Paybill or a link always waits for the family.
The day and after
No. The family's photographer or media team streams the service on YouTube or Facebook, and the page shows their link, so everyone watches from the same place.
A YouTube stream plays right on the page; a Facebook one opens in Facebook.
Each anniversary gets its own page on the same link, with the gathering details, new tributes and candles.
Anniversary remembrance is KES 3,900 a year, and some plans include it.
A shared page for a school, church, workplace or community remembering several people together, each with their own profile and tributes.
Group memorials are priced with you.
